THE CARTERS' ‘EVERYTHING IS LOVE’ The power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z on Saturday the 16th of June, 2018, released their first joint album titled ‘Everything is Love’. The Carters have been known to have a number of song collaborations such as ‘Drunk in Love’, ‘Crazy in Love’ and ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ but this is the first joint album they have. The album is the third piece in the trilogy ‘Lemonade’ by Beyonce, ‘4:44’ by Jay and ‘Everything is Love’ by the both of them. Everything Is Love is a 38:17 length album with 9 tracks including ‘Apeshit’ which is the album single. The couple made the release more exciting by dropping a video for the single which was shot in the Louvre Museum, Paris. The video is available to watch on YouTube. Other tracks in the album include: ‘Summer, Boss, Nice, 713, Friends, Heard about us, Black Effect,’ and ‘Lovehappy’. The album cover is a picture of a woman combing a man’s hair while standing in front of Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous painting, Mona Lisa. The message of the album surrounds the couple as each track talks about the infidelity scandals, forgiveness, family, the couple’s journey together and all that they have achieved. It also features a Blue Ivy Cameo. The 9 track album had no previous announcement or promotion before its release and it was also self produced by the famous couple. Other producers on the album include Pharell, Cool & Dre and Boi-1da. The album was released on the Tidal streaming app giving user a six months subscription trial in order to listen to the album. Popular hip hop artists such as Offset, Quavo, Pharell and Ty Dollar Sign are featured on the album. Since its release, the album has made decent ratings with an aggregate rating of 81/100 from metacritic.
